Housewife Found Dead With Strangulation Marks – Cops


KUANTAN, A housewife was found dead with strangulation marks at her residence in Indera Mahkota here yesterday afternoon.

Kuantan district police chief ACP Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu said the victim, 28, was found unconscious in her bedroom by her husband at 7.30 pm.

“Before the discovery, the victim’s father, 62, made a police report regarding the victim’s disappearance at 3.25 pm yesterday after she failed to be contacted.

“She last communicated via Whatsapp messaging at 8.30 am the same day,” he said in a media statement today.

He said the victim lived with her husband, a Chinese national who works as a factory supervisor, three-year-old son, and eight-year-old sister-in-law.

Wan Mohd Zahari said the victim’s body was taken to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) for a post-mortem examination, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

“The deceased is believed to have been killed in the house by strangulation. Following this, police have remanded three men and one w
oman aged 27 to 62, all family members of the deceased, for questioning. Remand starts today,” he said.
