HELICOPTER TRAGEDY: RMN CORRECTS RANK ERROR FOR JOANNA

KUALA LUMPUR, The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) has clarified an error in the rank of Joanna Felicia Rohna, 26, a victim of the helicopter crash in Lumut, Perak on Tuesday.

In a statement today, RMN said that the late Joanna’s rank was not Laskar Kelas I (Able Seaman I) JJM but Laskar Kanan (Senior Seaman) JJM, as stated in the third press release issued on April 23.

In the incident at 9.32 am, 10 Navy personnel were killed when two helicopters crashed while conducting a rehearsal for a flypast in conjunction with the 90th RMN Anniversary celebration.
