SEREMBAN: Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) manager Hector Bidoglio wants his squad to continue to be competitive and maintain their winning streak, including when they face South Korean club Ulsan Hyundai FC in the Asian Champions League Elite (ACLE) on Tuesday.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Bidoglio acknowledged the dynamic and challenging nature of their upcoming opponents, emphasizing the importance of focus and resilience. He stated that the ACLE is more intense and requires consistent concentration in every game. Bidoglio expressed his satisfaction with JDT’s current competitive form and stressed the need to maintain their momentum by focusing on the next match.
He mentioned that all players are in good condition and ready for both local and international competitions. He emphasized the importance of player recovery and focus for the upcoming matches, expressing his contentment with the team’s performance and their role as a leading team. His comments followed JDT’s recent 4-0 victory over Negeri Sembilan
FC (NSFC) at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium, Paroi.
Reflecting on the match against Negeri Sembilan, Bidoglio described it as intense despite NSFC’s position at the bottom of the league. He praised his players for their strong performance and efficient use of opportunities. JDT currently leads the Super League with 37 points from 13 matches, while NSFC remains at the bottom with six points.
Meanwhile, NSFC head coach K. Nanthakumar expressed his satisfaction with his team’s performance despite the loss. He acknowledged JDT’s strength in the Malaysia League and noted that his team had several scoring opportunities. Nanthakumar remains optimistic about future matches, especially against strong teams like Selangor, and is determined to strive for victory.
