Grace Sets New Treadmill Running MBOR Record

KUALA LUMPUR, Ultra-endurance runner Grace Lim Swee Ching has secured a place in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) for achieving the longest continuous treadmill run by a woman.

The 42-year-old runner completed a 226-kilometre (km) run in 46 hours on Saturday, surpassing the previous record of 25 hours set by Melinder Kaur in July 2022, who completed 123.85 km.

‘To achieve this record, I had to dig deep, both physically and mentally.

‘I am proud to have pushed through and hope this inspires others to realise that we are all capable of more than we think,’ she told Bernama today.

Grace said she raised RM18,786 during her run, which will be donated to charity.

‘I’m motivated by the challenge itself but most importantly that’s the least I could do to fundraise for charitable causes,’ she said.
