Floods: 419 evacuees at five relief centres in Batu Pahat this morning

The number of flood evacuees in Batu Pahat dropped from 439 at 8 pm yesterday to 419 as of 8 am today, said the State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN).

It said in a statement that five relief centres were still operating, housing 113 families.

The five centres are Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Medan (209 evacuees), Sekolah Agama (SA) Seri Bertam (six), Yong Peng Community Hall (129), Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Hua Min (21) and SA Seri Comel (54).

It also said that Sungai Bekok at Bekok Dam was at the warning level of 19.00 metres, while the weather for all 10 districts in the state is forecast to be bright this morning
