FBM KLCI futures end higher

KUALA LUMPUR, The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today, tracking the performance of the underlying cash market.

At the close, August 2021 and September 2021 advanced 5.5 points each to 1,516.5 and 1,505.0, respectively, while December 2021 increased 3.5 points to 1,494.5, and March 2022 went up 4.5 points to 1,484.5.

Turnover went down to 5,735 lots from 6,295 lots on Thursday, while open interest decreased to 37,375 contracts from 38,350 contracts yesterday.

The FBM KLCI gained 3.08 points or 0.20 per cent to close at 1,518.03 from Thursday’s close of 1,514.95.
