Farmers’ business club – efficient model in Mekong Delta province’s tourism promotion

Farmers’ business club is a model of voluntary association of the farmers who are engaged in providing agritourism services in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap. The model has proven efficient in the locality’s tourism promotion. Formed since 2019 with several gardeners gathering to share experiences in farming and tourist services, the club now has expanded to 40 members operating 29 tourism businesses in and outside Sa Dec city. Member businesses provide different types of tourism products, avoiding duplicate ones, ranging from hotels, restaurants, homestay services and tourism sites to flower fields and bonsai gardens. The club currently has one OCOP (One Commune One Product) tourism product rated 4-star and four others recognized as 3-star. The club’s members also established a limited liability company to jointly promote the locality’s tourism, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.
