Falling Tree Incident: Two Seriously Injured; Car And Motorcycle Damaged

IPOH, Two peple were seriously injured when a tree fell on a car and motorcycle in an accident in Jalan Kamunting, Taman Glen View, near Kamunting today.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director (operations) Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said a team from the Kamunting Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) rushed to the location after receiving a distress call about the incident at 12.53 pm.

He said in the incident, the tree fell and damaged a passing Perodua Alza car and Yamaha Y15 motorcycle.

According to Sabarodzi, there were five female occupants, believed to be between 16 and 35 years old, in the car, with two of them suffering minor injuries, while the other three were not injured.

“The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, and a girl believed to be his daughter (approximately aged 15 years), suffered serious injuries and were both unconscious when the fire brigade arrived,” he said in a statement today.

Sabarodzi added that firemen cut and removed the tree, and all the injured victims had been given ini
tial treatment before being handed over to the Health Ministry officials for further action.
