Fahmi To Ensure Lembah Pantai Community Receives Due Assistance


KUALA LUMPUR, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil has pledged to ensure that all residents in the Lembah Pantai parliamentary constituency, including the Indian community, receive the necessary assistance, particularly in the field of education.

Fahmi said his efforts would include increasing the number of students at SJKT Bangsar by engaging parents who faced difficulties in sending their children to the school.

‘I will strive to assist several schools like SJKT Bangsar, which has low student enrolment. We will help parents who want to send their children to the school, but are facing financial challenges.

‘We are identifying several matters that require attention, such as addressing issues related to internet access, computer labs, and other obstacles that may prevent students from attending school,’ he said.

He was speaking to reporters after attending the Deepavali Fiesta at IWK Eco Park @ Pantai Dalam here today, which was also attended by Deputy Minister of National Unity Saraswathy Kandasamy.

At
the event, Fahmi also distributed RM100 vouchers to nearly 1,000 residents in the area in conjunction with the Deepavali celebration on Oct 31.

Meanwhile, on Budget 2025, Fahmi said he had instructed the Information Department to simplify the message for the public so that they understood the various government assistance provided.

‘The main issue is that many people don’t know how to apply (for assistance). We will work through the Information Department and the MADANI Community to simplify the language regarding all assistance offered in Budget 2025.

‘The key is that when applications open, the MADANI Community can disseminate the information and act as a point of reference so that those facing difficulties can be assisted,’ he added.
