Exploring primitive village in Son La province


Hang Tau village, 20km from Moc Chau city, the northern mountainous province of Son La, is a really pristine village which has no electricity, no phone signals, no modern technology, no traffic noise or any tourist services. Since Moc Chau district in the northern mountainous province of Son La was crowned Asia’s Leading Regional Nature Destination at the 2022 World Travel Awards, the number of visitors to the locality has been on the rise. The village is home to some 20 families of H’mong ethnic group living and doing farming work, shifting cultivation and raising cattle all year round. Nestling behind high rocky mountains, the village is dubbed by visitors as “a primitive village”.
