DPWH: Lacson Ave. portion partially closed for drainage works


MANILA: A portion of A.H. Lacson Avenue in Manila will be partially closed for one week due to drainage construction activities.

In an advisory Friday, the Department of Public Works and Highways-North Manila District Engineering Office (DPWH-NMDEO) said the works will be conducted on the northbound outermost lane of A.H. Lacson Avenue, crossing from Earnshaw Street starting Aug. 23.

The DPWH added motorists are advised of traffic slowdown in the affected areas.

It also urged them to use possible alternate routes during the seven-day construction.

The drainage works are set for completion at 11 p.m. on Aug. 30.

The undertaking is part of the DPWH-National Capital Region’s (NCR) initiatives to improve road safety and efficiency in the region.
