DOH distributes hygiene kits, meds to ‘Kristine’ victims

The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday provided medical interventions in evacuation centers in areas affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (Trami) in the Bicol region.

The members of its Health Emergency Response Team from different regions distributed hygiene kits and medicines to the evacuees.

Evacuees were also given medical consultations following the initial assessment of the evacuation centers.

There is enough supply of disinfectants, chlorine granules, and aquatabs that are important in accessing clean water and sanitation in evacuation centers, it added.

The agency said the local Emergency Operations Center at Patient Navigation Referral units are open 24/7 to monitor areas in other regions needing medical assistance.
