Djokovic, Alcaraz dispute Olympics men’s singles gold

ANKARA:Serbian tennis legend Novak Djokovic will face Carlos Alcaraz from Spain in the men’s singles tennis final at the 2024 Paris Olympics after advancing Friday.

Djokovic beat Italian Lorenzo Musetti 6-4, 6-2, while Alcaraz eliminated Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-1, 6-1, in semifinal matches.

Djokovic, a 24-time majors winner will battle four-time Grand Slam winner Alcaraz as both seek their maiden Olympic singles gold medal Sunday.

Djokovic won bronze in the same event at the 2008 Beijing Summer Games.

Last month, the two played in the finals of the Wimbledon, with Alcaraz defending his crown.
