Davao City summit to discuss AI, emerging tech

DAVAO CITY – An Innovation Summit will be held anew in this city to showcase cutting-edge innovations and provide prime networking opportunities to technology enthusiasts, business leaders, and diplomats.

Now on its second year, the summit is slated Nov. 7 to 9 at the SMX Convention Center.

The Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (DCCCIl) is spearheading the event in partnership with ICT Davao, Inc.

In a press briefing at the Abreeza Ayala Malls on Wednesday, Belinda Torres, president of DCCCII and chairperson of the summit, said they ‘aim to build on the success of its inaugural launch in 2022, which attracted over 400 delegates and featured 20 exhibitors.”

“This year, the event is expected to gather an even larger audience through its interactive program and exciting lineup of activities,’ she added.

Among the topics to be discussed during the summit include emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), the future of business, and its creative side.

‘We will focus on AI and bl
ockchain technology because we want to position ourselves based on what [technology] we see today. Is it good or bad, this is something that we need to discuss during the summit,’ Torres added.

The three-day summit has a registration of PHP6,000, she added.
