DAR empowers female employees thru ‘Binibining Agraryo’

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has launched the search for ‘Binibining Agraryo 2024′ to recognize the role of its empowered female personnel.

“The Bb. Agraryo 2024 pageant embodies our commitment to empowering women and acknowledging their significant roles in agrarian reform,’ Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III said in a press release on Friday.

The platform which was launched on Wednesday at the Emancipation Lounge of the DAR Central Office in Quezon City, aimed to celebrate the beauty, talent and dedication of agency’s women employees in advancing gender equality and supporting rural communities and agrarian justice.

The pageant, themed “Ang Babae sa Panahon ng Repormang Agraryo at Pagbabago (Women in the Age of Agrarian Reform and Change), emphasizes the importance of women’s active participation in agrarian reform and their essential contributions to rural development.

The candidates representing various DAR offices and regions include Cathyrine Lardizabal of the Legal Affairs O
ffice, Trisha Mae Lavilla of the Support Services Office, Angelica Valenzuela of the Finance, Management and Admin Office, Judy Ann Baguling from Cordillera Administrative Region, Pia Ysabelle Llacuna from Ilocos Region, Alodia T. Rivera from Cagayan Valley, Gean Ariane Ponce from Central Luzon, Hazel Diego from Mimaropa, Jiana Joselle SC De Guzman from Calabarzon, Precious Joezhel Mortel from Bicol Region, Desiree Jane Tubaon from Western Visayas, Leah Kyra Cirunay from Central Visayas, Whitney Estribo from Eastern Visayas, Josephine Realubit from Zamboanga Peninsula, Hazel Paquingan from Northern Mindanao, Leslie Ann Carin from Davao Region, Jacqueline Ann Bravo from Soccksargen, and Lee Monica Sal Amper from the Caraga Region.

Pageant categories include sports wear, regional/festival costume, talent, Philippine terno and evening gown, along with the presentation of their ‘Sulong Agraryo’ advocacy.

The pageant’s grand finale will be on Oct. 27, at the DAR Gymnasium in Quezon City.
