CURTAINS UP FOR RIUH OOHA! CARNIVAL IN SARAWAK TOMORROW

KUCHING, Less than 24 hours from now, the Kembara RIUH carnival will open its curtains in Sarawak for the first time.

A Bernama survey at the parking lot of the State Stadium in Petra Jaya here, which is the venue of the event, found the installation of tents and stages in full swing.

RIUH OOHA! in a creative carnival programme with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), a popular online game in Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, will be held from tomorrow until Sunday, between 3 pm and 11.30 pm.

Targeting 35,000 visitors throughout the event where admission is free, RIUH is a creative platform to promote various local brands, and local and international flavours through workshops, exhibitions and performances.

The main theme of this edition is Neo-Nusantara (archipelago) in an interplay with tropical, futuristic elements and the creative side of Sarawak.

There will be 50 stalls promoting creative and handicraft items and 25 stalls selling food and beverages.

Yesterday, MyCreative Ventures said in a st
atement that RIUH OOHA! Together with MLBB will also feature local music artistes such as Ella, Noh, Insomniacs and Midnight Fusic.

‘Kembara RIUH’ is an initiative of the Ministry of Communications aimed at boosting the creative economy by creating job opportunities for local artistes and entrepreneurs.
