Cloudy skies, isolated rains to prevail Sunday

MANILA: Cloudy skies and isolated rains will be experienced across the country on Sunday.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the ‘habagat’ or the southwest monsoon will affect extreme northern Luzon.

Batanes province and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms.

Winds across the whole country will be light to moderate going southeast to southwest.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate or from 0.6 to 2.1 meters.

Sunrise was at 5:43 a.m. while sunset will be at 6:17 p.m.
