CIVIL SERVANT REMANDED SEVEN DAYS TO ASSIST PROBE INTO MURDER OF NUR FARAH


KUALA LUMPUR, A civil servant has been remanded for seven days to assist investigation into the murder of Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah who was found dead in Kampung Sri Kledang, Hulu Selangor yesterday evening.

Hulu Selangor deputy police chief DSP Mohd Asri Mohd Yunus said the remand order on the 26-year-old man was issued by Sessions Court Judge Nurul Mardhiah Mohammed Redza to assist investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

“The suspect is remanded for seven days from today to assist investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code,’ he said when contacted here today.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan was reported yesterday as saying that the body of Nur Farah Kartini 25, was found at about 6 pm in an oil palm plantation in Kampung Sri Kledang, Hulu Selangor.

According to Hussein, following that, police arrested the woman’s boyfriend to assist investigation.

Nur Farah Kartini who was from Sarawak and a former student of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) was last seen wear
ing a blue corporate blouse, headscarf and a pair of black pants.
