Bukit Gelugor Residence Completed Ahead Of Schedule With GDV Over RM365 Mln

GEORGE TOWN, The Bukit Gelugor Residence (Ideal Residency) housing project has been completed ahead of its scheduled date of August 2025, boasting a Gross Development Value (GDV) exceeding RM365 million.

Housing and Local Government (KPKT) Minister Nga Kor Ming said the project is a collaboration between Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia (PR1MA), the main affordable housing agency under the ministry and Ideal Capital Venture Sdn Bhd.

‘It comprises 1,218 units and is PR1MA’s largest project in Penang.

‘Fully completed on Aug 22, the project has received the Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC), with 1,198 units sold as of Sept 30, 2024,’ Nga told reporters at the key handover ceremony, also attended by PR1MA group chief executive officer Datuk Seri Mohd Nazri Md Shariff, State Housing and Environment Committee chairman Datuk Seri S Sundarajoo and Ideal Property Group chairman Tan Sri Alex Ooi Kee Liang.

Each unit is priced at RM300,000 and spans 850 square feet, featuring three bedrooms, two bathrooms a
nd a balcony. Additionally, the units come equipped with smart gadgets for high-speed internet access.

Nga added that the Bukit Gelugor Residence project reflects the government’s commitment, through PR1MA, to provide comfortable and affordable housing that meets the needs of the people, particularly in Penang.
