Budget 2025 Prioritises National Development, People’s Welfare – N. Sembilan MB


SEREMBAN, The 2025 Budget tabled yesterday is a proactive initiative by the Unity Government aimed at advancing national development while prioritising the welfare of the people, said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.

He said the budget focuses on strengthening key economic sectors which are expected to deliver significant benefits to the nation, alongside enhancing infrastructure in education, health, security and agriculture, particularly ensuring food security.

“The state government expresses its appreciation for the budget announcement made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, which includes several important projects in Negeri Sembilan.

“These projects include efforts to improve rice yields in agriculture, the upgrading of Jalan Bahau-Keratong, the enhancement of the Kuala Sawah Regional Sewage Treatment Plant and the construction of a preschool at Sekolah Kebangsaan Felda Palong 1 in Jempol,” he said in a Facebook post today.

He also affirmed that the Negeri Sembilan government is ful
ly committed to ensuring the smooth implementation of these projects for the benefit of residents in the state.

Aminuddin further added that the 2025 Budget, which aims to raise both the economic floor and ceiling, represents a comprehensive effort by the Unity Government to position Malaysia as a competitive trading nation.

He added that the budget includes practical measures to tackle the rising cost of living, such as increasing wages for workers, expanding the Rahmah Cash Aid as well as the People’s Aid programme to support the B40 group.

When tabling the budget, Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, announced a RM300 million allocation to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security. This funding will facilitate agricultural projects, such as onion cultivation in Perak, red tilapia farming in Pahang and boosting rice yields in Negeri Sembilan.
