BSN SSP Produces 103 Millionaires From 6.2 Million Depositors, With Savings Of RM5.4 Bln


JOHOR BAHRU, Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) has captured 6.2 million Premium Savings Certificate (SSP) depositors and produced 103 millionaires so far, said BSN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Awang Adek Hussin.

He said that of the 6.2 million depositors, with a total savings of RM5.4 billion nationwide, more than 500,000 of them were from Johor.

‘BSN is proud to have produced a total of 103 BSN SSP millionaires, of whom 12 are also from Johor,’ he said in a statement today.

According to him, the success recorded has proven the commitment of BSN SSP in providing bank products with opportunities for the people to achieve their financial dreams.

‘We at BSN always strive to empower more Malaysians with a variety of innovative and competitive financial products while continuing to support the country’s aspirations for financial inclusion.

‘I believe BSN SSP will continue to be the people’s top choice to save and secure a better future,” he said.

Meanwhile, he said BSN will continue to expand access for financial serv
ices to all levels of society through 387 branches and 2,293 bank agents nationwide, with 290 of the bank agents and 48 branches based in Johor.

He said BSN remains a pioneer in the micro-financing market with a 60 per cent market share, whereas as of last September, 96,886 active customers were recorded among micro-entrepreneurs with a total of RM1.9 billion in active financing.

From that figure, a total of 10,254 micro-entrepreneurs in Johor have received benefits from the financing scheme,’ he also said.

He added that at the same time BSN will continue to improve the quality of its services to meet the financial needs of customers, and it is committed to providing the best in terms of financial products and a more satisfying customer experience (with a minimum deposit of RM3,000 for 90 days in 2023).

The 104th BSN SSP Millionaire Draw ceremony was held at Angsana Mall here today.
