Brunei Crown Prince Attends Meeting And High Tea With MNCs


KUALA LUMPUR, Brunei Crown Prince Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah attended a meeting and high tea with multinational corporations (MNCs) here today.

His Royal Highness was warmly received upon arrival by Higher Education Ministry deputy secretary-general (policy) Datuk Dr Megat Sany Megat Ahmad Supian.

Also present during the 45-minute meeting was the Higher Education Department’s Higher Education Internationalisation Division director Datuk Shushilil Azam Shuib.

Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah, who is also Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, arrived in Malaysia last Saturday with his wife Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah, for a five-day official visit until Aug 21.

The visit adds further significance to the enduring and close relationship between Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam, which is based on common heritage, culture and people-to-people ties, especially as both nations celebrate the 40th anniversary of their diplomatic relations this year.

In 2023, Bru
nei was Malaysia’s sixth-largest trading partner among the ASEAN member states, with total trade amounting to US$2.04 billion (RM9.31 billion).
