BIG VICTORY OVER BUKIT TAMBUN RESTORES KDA FC’S CONFIDENCE

ALOR SETAR, The big victory over Bukit Tambun FC in the FA Cup Round of 16 match last night is seen as a confidence booster for Kedah Darul Aman FC (KDA FC) players ahead of their upcoming matches.

KDA FC head coach Mohd Nafuzi Zain said the win was crucial following several defeats his team had experienced in the Super League.

‘For me, what’s important is the win, and that tonight (last night) we qualified for the next round (quarter-finals). Our lineup was more focused on scoring goals,’ he said.

He was speaking to reporters after the match, which saw KDA FC thrash Bukit Tambun FC 5-0 at the Darul Aman Stadium here.

Additionally, Mohd Nafuzi reminded his players to always be prepared and not become complacent in every match, urging them to improve their performance and address their weaknesses to face increasingly challenging matches ahead.

Meanwhile, Bukit Tambun FC head coach Hasbul Hazani Daud described last night’s match against KDA FC as challenging and a valuable experience for his team to bette
r focus on facing strong teams in the Super League.

He said that the three goals scored by the home team in the first half had a significant impact, weakening the rhythm and spirit of his players.

‘When we fell behind by three goals in the first half… it had a big impact on the team, forcing us to change our gameplay to withstand Kedah’s attacks.

‘The team’s spirit was disrupted, but I am satisfied that the players managed to play until the end despite Kedah’s goal feast,’ he said.
