Bernama Pays Courtesy Call On Penang Governor

GEORGE TOWN, A delegation from the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) paid a courtesy call on Penang Governor Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak at his official residence, Seri Mutiara, here today.

The news agency’s delegation was led by Bernama chairman Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai. Also present was Penang Bernama Bureau chief R. Ratcharathan.

According to Wong, various matters were discussed during the meeting which lasted more than an hour as they also exchanged views on how Bernama could help as Malaysia assumes the ASEAN chairmanship next year.

‘It has been a year since I became Bernama chairman and I wanted to seek his advice and views,’ he said, adding that Ahmad Fuzi had served as a Bernama Board Member from 1999 to 2001 and was a representative from the Foreign Ministry in the Bernama board.
