Bernama CEO Honoured With ‘Media Luminary Award’

Bernama Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin was honoured with the ‘Media Luminary Award’ at the National Press Club’s (NPC) Diamond Jubilee Awards here tonight.

The award recognised her outstanding leadership in breaking new ground and inspiring a new generation of women leaders in journalism.

Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Dr Maimunah Mohd Sharif presented the award. After receiving the award, Nur-ul Afida expressed her pride and gratitude for the recognition bestowed upon her by NPC.

She credited her family as the driving force behind her success in journalism and expressed hope that her nearly 39 years of experience in the media industry would serve as an inspiration for the new generation of journalists.

‘I believe this award reflects my journey as a journalist who started from the grassroots. Throughout my nearly four decades with Bernama, I aspire to be a role model, especially in terms of resilience in overcoming the challenges we face as journalists and editors.
