BELEAQURED NSFC NOT PRESSING THE PANIC BUTTON

SEREMBAN, The management of the Negeri Sembilan football club (NSFC) does not want to press the panic button following the lackluster performance of the team in the Super League competition this season.

NSFC chief executive officer, Muhammad Faliq Firdaus Muhammad Rom admitted that the weak performance of three consecutive defeats should not have happened and wanted the team to immediately bounce back and hunt for three points for the team in the next match.

He said the management still wants head coach Azzmi Ab Aziz to guide the team and a post-mortem should be done to identify the weaknesses of the players.

“I see the problem is team cohesion, so that needs to be improved, the players need to follow the coach’s instructions. I personally still believe in Azzmi’s ability to improve the performance of the players, we haven’t pressed the panic button yet but there will be further action.

“By hook or by crook, the head coach needs to make sure the team gets three points in the next match, at the moment our
team has not collected any points,” he said when met by reporters here today.

Muhammad Faliq explained that NSFC is not face any players’ salaries problem and the team also gets the best support from the state government.

“There should be positive result from the team, that’s what the management is asking from them. The management does not interfere in the matter of fielding players,” he said.

He said his side also held discussions with two overseas clubs to discuss acquiring imported players during the transfer window later.

NSFC is now at the bottom of the league after losing three consecutive matches starting with a 1-3 defeat to Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) followed by a 0-4 hammering by Selangor and the latest 0-3 loss to Kuala Lumpur City FC recently.
