AWCL: Sabah FA Draws 0-0 With APF FC


KOTA KINABALU, Sabah FA began their AFC Women’s Champions League (AWCL) Group C campaign with a goalless draw against APF FC at the Likas Stadium here, tonight.

Both teams had chances but failed to score, with APF FC’s Preeti Rai hitting the crossbar in the 11th minute and Sabah FA’s attempts being thwarted by goalkeeper Anjila Tumbapo Subba.

APF FC’s Amisha Karki’s strike also struck the crossbar in the 74th minute.

Sabah FA will play their final Group C match against PFC Nasaf from Uzbekistan on Saturday (Aug 31). PFC Nasaf, who lead the group, defeated APF FC 1-0 in the first Group C match. All matches in this group are being held at the Likas Stadium.
