ALLIANZ ROAD RANGERS OFFER ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AHEAD OF HARI RAYA TRAVELS

KUALA LUMPUR, Allianz Malaysia Berhad has announced that the Allianz Road Rangers, a premium roadside assistance service for the company’s motor comprehensive policyholders, is on standby with a fleet of more than 300 tow trucks nationwide in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri festive period.

The service, from April 6 to April 14, aims to assist motorists in case of breakdowns or accidents.

‘As we approach Hari Raya, we can expect many Malaysians to travel cross-country to be reunited with their loved ones. However, we need to be reminded that accidents or breakdowns can happen and all necessary precautions should be taken to arrive safely at our destination,’ Allianz Malaysia Berhad said in a statement.

It said that last year, a total of 12,407 road accidents were reported during Ops Selamat 20 in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri festive period, with 146 fatalities recorded compared to 145 from the year before.

The Allianz Road Rangers service offers comprehensive roadside assistance, inc
luding quick repairs or towing to accredited workshops for various vehicle segments, such as Private Cars, Motorcycles, Goods-Carrying Vehicles and Electric Vehicles (EV).

Motor Comprehensive policyholders can access these benefits by calling 1-800-22-5542 for end-to-end insurance service, thus avoiding unauthorised workshops.

The statement also provided essential vehicle maintenance tips, advising motorists to ensure their vehicles are road-ready by checking tyre pressure, tread depth, warning sensors, battery water levels and having adequate rest before embarking on long journeys.

Meanwhile, the chief executive officer of Allianz Malaysia Berhad and Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad, Sean Wang, in the statement, emphasised the importance of safety, urging road users to take necessary precautions during their balik kampung journey.

He also expressed the company’s commitment to providing the best assistance and services to its more than three million motor policyholders.

‘We have more t
han three million motor policies and it is important that we are able to provide them with the best assistance and services, especially in their times of need. Our Road Rangers will be deployed at various locations to provide the necessary roadside assistance,’ he said.

Wang also extended warm wishes for a safe and joyous Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all Malaysians on behalf of Allianz General.
