AirAsia Enters 2H 2024 With New Penang-Shenzhen, Kota Kinabalu-Shantou Routes


KUALA LUMPUR, AirAsia will operate a total of 33 routes to and from China in the second half (2H) of 2024 with the launch of two new routes, namely Penang-Shenzhen and Kota Kinabalu-Shantou, further solidifying its position as the largest foreign low-cost carrier in the region.

AirAsia Malaysia (flight code AK) will operate four flights weekly from Penang to Shenzhen starting Oct 28, 2024, whereas flights from Kota Kinabalu to Shantou will commence on Nov 16, 2024, with three flights weekly, it said in a statement.

‘In celebration of the route launches, AirAsia is offering promotional fares for flights between Penang and Shenzhen from RM329 all-in one way, as well as flights from Kota Kinabalu to Shantou with fares starting from RM299 all-in one way, with terms and conditions applied,’ it said.

The low-cost carrier said all flights are available for booking on the AirAsia Move app (application), formerly airasia Superapp, and airasia.com from now until Sept 8, 2024.
