Ahmad Zahid Extends Condolences To Family Of Hussein Ahmad

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi extended his condolences to the family of the former Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar Tan Sri Hussein Ahmad, who passed away this morning.

The UMNO President also prayed for the family to be strong and patient in facing this loss.

“May Allah SWT accept all his good deeds and place him among the faithful and righteous and grant him the reward of paradise,” he said in a Facebook post today.

Hussein died of old age at his home near Kampung Lemal, Pasir Mas, in Kelantan at 7 am. He was 90.

Better known as ‘Hussein Serama,’ he had been frail for a long time and suffered from Parkinson’s disease. He was admitted to Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital in Kubang Kerian a week ago due to shortness of breath.

Hussein left six children, over 30 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was UMNO Information Chief from 1982 to 1999, Deputy Minister of Housing and Local Government from 1987 to 1990, and the Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar from 1978 to 1982.
