3 Chinese nabbed for robbery, assault of compatriot in Pasay

MANILA: Police officers have arrested three Chinese nationals for robbing and mauling their compatriot in Pasay City.

In a statement Tuesday, the Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspects with aliases ‘Shipeng’, 32; ‘You Liang’, 36 and ‘Hai Tao’, 29, attacked a 25-year-old victim, alias ‘Chenghuan’, and forcibly took PHP310,000 from his online accounts at a residential building in Barangay 5 at about 8:40 p.m. Monday.

The victim managed to seek help, prompting the building’s security personnel to contact the police.

Officers from the Pasay City Police Sub-Station 1 responded to the scene and arrested the three suspects, who yielded two folding knives and four mobile phones.

The suspects are currently detained at the Pasay City Police Station where complaints are being prepared against them.
